Frequently Asked Questions

A kiosk system is a combination of software, hardware, and an enclosure that allows users to perform a specific action on their own, without staff assistance: check-in, payment, purchase, information retrieval, or problem reporting. Notus develops the software and design side of kiosk solutions (interface, integrations, user experience flow), while for the hardware component, devices, equipment, and field service it relies on the experience of Storm Computers, a member of the Storm Group specialized in IT infrastructure and self-service devices.
The most common solutions are kiosks for payment and issuing tickets, information points and navigation, visitor management systems, queue management and access control devices, and self-service check-in and registration. In addition, a kiosk can be used as digital signage to display promotional and advertising content, product information, or notifications to users, which can also generate additional revenue.

An All-in-One self-service kiosk is made up of highly reliable industrial components. The specific equipment includes:

  • Touch screen
  • Printer
  • Barcode reader
  • Computer (PC)
Yes. Kiosk devices are made in an anti-vandal design, with a touch screen resistant to impact and rough handling, and are suitable for operation both indoors and outdoors. They are available in a wide range of sizes and configurations, depending on the location and purpose of the device.
The device is equipped with a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) which, in the event of a mains power failure, ensures that a user or administrative transaction that has already started is completed. The power supply unit additionally provides overvoltage and undervoltage protection, as well as short-circuit protection.
Yes. We offer kiosk system maintenance that may include fault reporting, remote support, field service, upgrades, and restoring full device functionality in the event of a failure. Hardware maintenance is carried out by Storm Computers, while Notus provides support on the software and integration side.
Yes. The enclosure can be customized by adding stickers according to the customer’s corporate identity, and the enclosure color is selected from the RAL color palette.

The process includes five steps:

  1. idea and consulting
  2. design and prototype
  3. development and technology
  4. delivery and installation
  5. support and maintenance

Continuous technical support and monitoring of device operation, along with maintenance of hardware components, is provided by Storm Computers. More: How we approach kiosk projects.

Employee training is a standard part of implementation. During delivery and installation, we train your team for everyday use of the system, while technical servicing and maintenance of hardware components is handled by Storm Computers.
The duration depends on the number of devices, the complexity of the interface, the number of integrations with existing systems, and the specifics of the location where the kiosk is installed.
The price of a kiosk solution depends on a large number of factors: the number and type of devices, the degree of design and enclosure customization, integrations with existing systems, and the location. For this reason, we consider each inquiry individually. Contact us and we will get back to you with an offer tailored to your specific needs.
Notus and Storm Computers are members of the same group – the Storm Group – so we offer clients a “turnkey” solution – everything in one place, without the need to coordinate multiple suppliers.
